Learn a little something

Sorry I haven't been posting much, I'm not going to make excuses. So lets get on with it shall we.?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miIxNCn-vjY&feature=recentlik

Mike Lombardo Shows us people stuff about how rhyming works at the end of lines and the connected vowel sounds in the middle of a line and by the end of it he's rapping . You'll definitely learn something cool. Also it will be helpful to learn it if ou are into writing your own songs , or even poetry because as I'm sure you know ~ That's really all Rap is, just to a beat : )

Person of Note : Charlie McDonnell

       I found Charlie, otherwise
 known as Charlieissocoollike,
when I first plunged into
youtube, I saw his video, my mum makes me munch
marshmallows, and thought it was hysterical. I found that there was a series of videos that were similar that turned out to be a part of  "Challenge Charlie".
After trolling his channel and going to his site I found he was a musician.Thats where I started to get sucked in. It was sort of like a giant black hole of nerdy awesomeness. I found his band and a few songs that he'd written himself. I got addicted to his music & videos and since then have kept up with all the new happenings and updates.

So Charlie is 20 years old and a video-blogger(vlogger)/Musician. He is currently the most subscribed youtuber in the UK.  Though obviously being a site strictly( or loosely) dedicated to music we will continue on the path of his music. He has a new album out on itunes entitled: This is Me. Released on December 1st, This album includes songs about : Love, a song, a website, bread, acne, and monkeys. You can listen to "This is Me" for free @ http://charliemcdonnell.com/music/ and download it from itunes. My personal favorite song on this album is D
uet with Myself which is currently @ 3,560, 788 views on youtube, pretty incredible.

He is also in a band that plays 'trock' . Which is time-lord rock, Songs about Doctor Who. At the time I found Chameleon Circuit I didn't watch Doctor Who so I watched a few episodes (every episode starting with the ninth doctor) After, I went back and listened to the album all the way through. Now that I understood what it was I was hearing it was much more enjoyable. That hooked me as well and I listen to the album quite often. Both of the albums were released by DFTBA records and you can get a hard copy of either album @ http://dftba.com/shop/products/Chameleon-Circuit-[CD].html and http://dftba.com/shop/products/This-Is-Me-[CD].html

He is in yet another group called, Sons of Admirals. This band is a gathering the talents of Eddplant, Alex Day, Tom Milsom, and of course Charlie McDonnell. They have a Debut single "Here comes my baby"and you can get Sons of Admirals T-Shirts @ http://dftba.com/shop/products/Sons-of-Admirals-T%252dShirt.html

I definitely recommend listening to both albums. Hope you give his music a listen and his videos a watch
: DInstruments? He plays the ukulele, melodica, and guitar.

Words to describe Charlie : English, animated (in videos), Semi-shy, musical, EPIC.

On another Music Note

Okay, so I sooo didn't plan that very pun-y title. This week is our band concert. I am so pumped. We are gonna rock the stage in an awesome, yet geek-like way. Here are links to all the songs we are playing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE4gno3tmaM < CELTIC CAROL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqpW6jfxL6c&feature=related < CANTICUM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uedTiaR_C8 AT THE CROSSROADS ..and we're doing Holiday cheer but I could not find a video for that arrangement. We're pretty good. the 2nd clarinets for  the beginning part of Celtic Carol need some work though. If you go to Pattengill, come to the concert its a lot of fun.

Person of note: ?

So I will eventually be doing a section called Person of Note. Which is basically when I find people via YouTube that I really like, whether they're already really REALLY well known or if they only have like 5 subs, I'll post about them If I like their music they get put up . Pretty simple. I will put up some info on the person. an interview if I can get one, and a few of their videos. If they have their own site where you can listen to their music I will put a link to that as well as their YouTube page, Formspring, blog, and things of the such, though I will not be posting links to Facebook for reasons that will go unexplained.  Of course I already have a few people I've been listening to for a long time in mind but I'm going to wait on doing this section until this site has been up and running smoothly for a couple of days.

Also, If you find people that you really like and you want me to check them out, send me a link, I will check them out. I might even end up putting them up on this site, you never know. I encourage you guys to , comment , send me music you find, send me your music,  e-mail me, keep in touch with me, and give feedback on what you like, what you don't like.
